Schweid & Sons is a family-owned and operated, fourth generation, high-quality ground beef purveyor, supplying restaurants, grocers and special events.
For 40 years the Schweid & Sons company has been producing high-quality, delicious beef for their customers. Located in Carlstadt, New Jersey, their mission is to bring “The Very Best Burger” to customers by offering a range of high quality ground beef blends and products.
Schweid & Sons wanted to tell this story through a docu-style/heritage video, and see how different filmmakers would approach telling the brand’s story. The video needed to make viewers feel motivated and inspired (by their passion and expertise), nostalgic but innovative, connected, and upbeat. Schweid wanted viewers to come away from the video feeling like they know the Schweid family and the commitment they have to quality. The ultimate goal of the project was to produce a “heritage-style” video 90-120 seconds in length, with 4-5 supporting chapters that ladder up to the main video, and library of supporting gifs and photos.
In order to help Schweid & Sons find the best creative team for the job, Zooppa established a private project, and invited 5 top filmmakers to produce concept pitches for the heritage video. From this pitch phase, Schweid then selected one creative team to move on to the content production phase.
Schweid was provided with a dedicated Zooppa project manager who supported them throughout the entire production process. The PM was tasked with providing the client with weekly updates, streamlining all communication, acting as an on-set producer, as well as handling the revisions to all content and payments to all participating filmmakers.

Schweid & Sons is currently featuring the full heritage video in the About section of their website. The short chapters were used as target ads to drive traffic to their social media. After the success of the project, Schweid & Sons then tasked Zooppa with creating a library of varying social content.
The content needs ranged from tasty recipe videos and short commercials, to customer profiles. Zooppa set up a Private Project and involved 8 filmmakers to pitch their ideas and moved forward with 3 to create the 14 short form videos and 75+ supplementary images and gif. The content that was produced has been used across all social media, and one Zooppa-produced commercial was screened at the NYC Food Film Festival in 2018.
