DocuMentors is an online documentary filmmaking resource rich with tools, support and knowledge to help filmmakers of all levels. Created by award-winning filmmakers and teachers, DocuMentors strives to make doc filmmaking more accessible, creative and rewarding. The DocuMentors site hosts Tutorials, Tips, Blogs, Expert interviews, Mentoring and an ever-growing Doc Filmmaker’s Toolkit. Zeitgeist Studios –Collaborative Ideas, Design and Production. Our website acts as a hub to form associations with other creative companies and individuals throughout the world. This collective is made up of architects, artists, musicians, writers, fashion designers, builders, and more, each sharing ideas, designs and projects. “Zeitgeist”, meaning simply, “spirit of the times”, was the inspiration for our collaborative website. We felt a need for a website that brought unique, talented individuals, like yourself, together; to share ideas, showcase each others’ work and learn something new each day.
Established in January 2006, The Greater Columbus Film Commission’s mission is to serve as the central hub for the film industry in Greater Columbus and to promote Greater Columbus as a prime-filming destination. We will serve as your point of contact while filming in Columbus and Central Ohio. We provide the following services such a film development, video and media education, networking, location scouting, liaison with government agencies, logistical assistance, and regional production information.
At Cinemaniacs, we are crazy about film and television production. Our organization is a California nonprofit organization designed to connect and promote resources and productions throughout the State of California. The Georgia Film Foundation (GFF) is a corporation in the state of Georgia. Founded in late 2009, we are dedicated to inspiring and educating young filmmakers in Georgia and worldwide. The Independent Filmmakers Coalition of Kansas City (IFCKC) is a non-profit organization that promotes regional independent film, video and media production.The IFCKC provides a setting for education, artistic expression, networking, and the cooperative sharing of resources to anyone with an interest in filmmaking. The IFCKC was founded in 1993 by Kansas City-based professional and amateur filmmakers as an organization to support independent filmmakers.
san diego asian film foundation The San Diego Asian Film Foundation (SDAFF) is one of the largest media arts organizations in North America that focuses on Asian American and Asian international cinema. Our mission is to connect audiences with the human experience through the Pan Asian media arts. We fulfill our mission by presenting unique, culturally-enriching programs that would otherwise be inaccessible to the public, engaging the public in meaningful discourse and positive social change through our programs and by promoting artistic excellence, innovation and the independent voice.
The Michigan Production Alliance helps to organize the media community by working with other industry related organizations and elected state representatives to build and maintain the foundations, which will allow production business to increase and our labor pool to grow. Our goal is to encourage a more stable financial environment for Michigan film and video production companies, freelancers and support services.
The Montana Film Office was created in 1974 as a central information source for on-location filmmakers. It is a component of Montana Promotions Division of the Department of Commerce. The primary role of the Montana Film Office is to bring productions (feature films, commercials, documentaries, television programs, and still shoots) into Montana for the overall economic benefit of the state. We work with producers to find locations that fit their script, as well as act as their liaison through every phase of production.
Fueled Creative, (A Seattle based production team) was formed by executive producer Bret Nielsen in 2001. Fueled Creative specializes in high-end digital productions ranging from broadcast music video, independent short film, and strategic corporate cool.
Presented in association with the London Review of Books, The London International Documentary Festival is the UK’s largest independent documentary festival. Since 2007 the festival has worked to ensure that London is host to exciting, diverse, challenging and inspiring films from every corner of the globe.
Cinequest hosts an annual film festival in San Jose, California that highlights some of the most innovative and unique voices in the independent film scene. Cinequest was founded in 1990 by filmmakers Halfdan Hussey and Kathleen Powell and now hosts almost 100,000 attendees a year.
NYC Shorts celebrates the short form by showcasing provocative and entertaining short films from around the world and screening at 92Y Tribeca, a brand new arts and entertainment venue, in New York City.Created by filmmakers David Barba, James Pellerito and Jennifer Pellerito, NYC Shorts includes the following competition categories: drama, comedy, documentary, lgbt, student, foreign language and animation.
