I was trying to upload my video several times before the contest close but the page kept erroring out.
I think there is a server problem

Any solution?

The most common error is that people upload something with a bad file name with illegal characters such as & ie: john&jacob.mov

A double file extension is bad too: ie: mymovie.mov.mov or mymovie.flv.flv

The other common reason a video won’t upload is that it is very large. I recommend uploading a file under 10MB (even though we can accept videos up to 50MB according to our guidelines.)

If those tthree things aren’t the problem, I recommend uploading using someone else’s computer.

We cannot upload videos to the competition after the deadline. It is up to Zooppa members to get their videos in early to avoid problems.

My video doesn’t have a bad name or a bad extension, it’s only 39 Mb, i am uninterruptedly trying from 6 hour to upload this file, from my pc and other pc, with firefox, IE, Google Crhome…

In zooppa italian forum there are a lot of people with the same problem in this contest and other contest, there are people that trying from some days looking for upload their works.

…“We cannot upload videos to the competition after the deadline”….it has been done with “dmccarthy” (http://www.zooppa.com/forum/about-contest/topics/eleaven-contest-close) for the same reason

I belive that it would be correct give the possibity to compete at all the people that have not been able to post their work for servers problems

I had the same problem. I sat for hours while it uploaded. Then with like 5 minutes to spare it finally uploaded (I messed it up 2x while waiting for it though. Once I pushed upload ad before it said complete (didn’t know I had to wait for that) another time I clicked on the rules or something just to make sure it was ok- but that didn’t open in another window and therefore stoped my video from dl and it was already going at a snails pace.) So then I sat for a full hour while it uploaded. Then I went to add video and there was an error and the conetst was over.

This really stinks I just stayed up for hours working on it and I gave myself 2 hours to upload it before deadline. Theres really nothing I can do?

hey kirk i was right again…the problem was in your servers not in our files!

you he has been expiring for 2 days and by now it doesn’t make me even press on the key of the upload….how can I do???

Recently we added a progress bar to our upload page.

This may have caused problems for some people when uploading to Office Live. If you had trouble uploading to Zooppa for the Office Live competition, please email me at kmastin@zooppa.com

If we can see that you attempted to upload before the deadline (we can check this), then I can manually add your video to the competition.
