Amazon’s 2nd contest on Zooppa is all about their new AmazonWireless site.

Your mission:
Create a video, 60 seconds or less, that demonstrates how AmazonWireless eliminates the frustration synonymous with the typical mobile phone purchase path. We encourage submissions to be humorous, but be sure to focus on how AmazonWireless keeps the phone shopping experience exciting and easy by giving customers the freedom to choose the phone and/or service plans that’s right for them by highlighting its core benefits relative to buying a phone in a physical store.

Check out the brief page for more info.

Thanks,
Manny

Yes it is. Sorry that isn’t clear! We’ve altered some graphics on the site.

This contest is open world wide!

This is the picture on the material download file. It should go at the end of your video for 3-4 seconds.

Thanks!

Nope, you cannot use any 3rd party logos in your video. You can however mention (i.e. say the word Droid)

Thanks for the question!

They’re real. We checked. There’s a lot to be said about promoting your video to get votes. Some people shy away from getting their friends to vote for their video but it really only takes a couple of minutes.

Hi there,

Just to reassure everyone. Most of his votes come from existing well known members. It’s not possible to fake those.

Hi there,

That’s a good question because most of our contests are open internationally. The videos for this particular contest should be in English, however. We do have another contest called Siemens, Changing Your City for the Better. In that contest you can have it in another language and have subtitles.

Thanks!

A graphic larger than 450×338 might be nice.

Hi i have two things im wondering can my video be slightly over 60 seconds even if its like 1 min and 5 seconds long. Also the video said no screen shots. IN our video we have a video of the amazon wirless website like scrolling through the pages of phones to represent the different phone choices and the variety. Is that ok to post videos of us scrolling through the website or a video of the home page

You should be able to do an HD rez .h264 file for well under 50mb with great quality. Zooppa seems to re-encode anything you throw at it anyway and squeeze some of the life out of it.

Everyone can submit as many times as you want. Provided that the videos are different.

Nope. By the time the videos are up that promotion may be over.

Thanks for the question!

Hi there,

That’s more of a guideline. I’ve seen videos uploaded as big as 400mb. However, uploading a file that big will require patience on your part.

So, does that mean if someone uploads an uncompressed file that, technically, they’ll get the best quality after Zooppa re-encodes it? This has been asked before without a clear answer, but is there a native format that can be uploaded that Zooppa won’t touch or re-encode? Presumably, that would be Flash video – but I think it even re-encodes that with a resulting loss of quality.

Hi – Quick question. In the brief it stated that screenshots are unacceptable because amazon doesn’t want to show brand names/products/prices of the phone companies. That is understandable. But are we allowed to show a screenshot if it shows none of that? For instance: Can I have show screen shot of a close up of the address bar on a browser with someone typing “www.amazonwireless.com”? Also, can I show a screen shot of someone clicking “add to cart” zoomed in? etc.

Thanks,
Sam
