After reading this new blog post by Zooppa staff http://blog.zooppa.com/2009/04/23/changes-to-zo… How exactly are we supposed to be able to keep track of our winnings if it doesn’t get shown? Seems a little strange to me.

also in the portofolio, if an ad won some award is not showed in the award won item? or the problem is only in zooppa bank?

. When you win a “US” competition, that money is available to you right away. Currently, when you win an international competition the money is shown in your profile, but not tracked… this is “internally” tracked by Zooppa.

. I just ran into this issue when I tried to convert my winnings.. I can only receive a portion because I haven’t accrued over $1000 in international competitions… So if you joined the site when everything was international, or won an international competition and no longer compete in them because of the obvious language and cultural barriers – then you’re pretty much never gonna see that money. UNLESS.. you compete and win in more international competitions and/or Zooppa changes it’s policy regarding international Zoop$ conversions.

Thanks for your concern guys. Please be patient as we transition away from Zoop dollars in the US. We treat your winnings with the highest priority and we track them accurately. We take your feedback seriously and we hope to have a worldwide consistent prize system in the future.

Tim… I’m also wondering about prize money: I just looked at the Jones winners… $3,000 for first prize video, $300 for first prize print ad? is that really equitable? It really infers that print is a joke…

I mean, sure, print is not what it was ten, even five years ago… but why even have the category if the award dollars are so inequitable? In my opinion, a 90% difference in prize money is ridiculous.

The Zooppa bank tells you exatly how much US dollars you have and where you won them from. The way the blog was written, that didn’t sound like that was the case.

It won’t let me hit convert to $500 i won for the Wholly Guacamole contest. Is there something else i need to do in order to obtain my prize? I sent in my W9 and affidavit about two months ago and I still haven’t received word.

Hey Jacob, If you sent in your paperwork, you should be fine. I’ll shoot you an email on Monday to let you know status of your $500.
