This was shot with an HPX170. I haven’t had an opportunity to work with a DSLR yet but hope to in the near future. They definitely open up new possibilities in imaging.

Nice! Gotta love the Coleman Powermate! ha ha. Was this shot on a DSLR too? I shoot all my stuff on the Canon 7d and 5d. Amazing stuff. And I happened to see your forum post. A lot of people have indeed “worked the voting” on this. Its sad. I’ve never thought “voting” was a fair or legit process of deciding winners. But oh well… what can ya do right?

WOW I wouldn’t have thought that you shot it in your garage!? I was thinking professional studio. “Poor mans process” definably works with your style. I like how all the shades of light and dark mix well together. It has a very clean and crisp look. Again, great job. :)

Some ARRI fresnels, a softbox, some Lowell’s, and a Coleman Powermate flashlight :) By the time I was done with the roto work I was ready to hang myself. It was still a fun project.

I figured it was green screen. Im sure the rotoscoping on that was oh so fun! I had to do a lot of that on my king kong entry. What type of lights did you work with?

Sorry about the double post. Zooppa is really slow to respond at the moment and it didn’t act like was going to post the first time. Lot’s of activity.

    Thanks guys.

GregCam64, we shot it greenscreen in my partner’s garage. Ended up doing a lot of rotoscope work though. It was a combination of greenscreen and “poor man’s process” photography. The intent was to give it that phoney look of the 40’s-50’s movies with a nod to Sin City.

Nice visuals. So did you do this in a green screen studio? Just wondering whats real and whats not?
