Sharing the Sweetness

In this print I wanted to capture the theme of Making the World A Sweeter Place" with the main focus on Africa due to Hersey's ECHOES program. I decided to create an image of the world in different Hersey's bars because I wanted to show its diversity much like the people of the world. Additionally, I wanted to tell people that by eating Hersey's they become part of a bigger community. A community that provides education and training to workers in Africa. This is further emphasized by the use of the chocolate sea to cradle the continent.

uhmm…ok emmewalls… ii told that you voted for youyrself all the night….is not true and i give you my excuse
but…but… winning a contest just for having a thousand of contact in social networks is not so onorable for my way of thinkin…because of this my dear KIRK I don’t care to learn how to promote my print …and remember that is just because of this kind of promotions that a lot of people go away from the community.
    bye

Well there’s a history of people cheating, it’s really not their fault for thinking something suspicious was going on. It’s unusual for someone new to get so many votes so fast. Zooppa IS a great community, don’t let a couple bad apples spoil it for you, and soon you’ll learn they really aren’t that bad after all. :D

Congrats EmmeWalls.. you totally deserve the win! I know you worked really hard on promoting this ad. You handled the entire situation with grace and professionalism, and hopefully all your haters will be able to learn from it. As Kirk stated, this competition was about self-promotion, networking, and about getting the word out there so that people can vote for you.. whether it be friends, family, associates, fellow artists, and/or followers and fans of your work. It’s unfortunate that some people here don’t understand that concept and are so set in their negative and childish ways, that they were quick to throw stones at you – without reason, as it’s been proven. I hope they feel ashamed of themselves now.. as they should for acting like children and making distasteful comments. It just goes to show what kind of people they are.. to everyone who was hating on EmmeWalls, instead of bashing another artist for their talent, take that time to self-reflect and to better your own work.. work harder to get more fans and followers of your art, and then maybe you’ll win a contest too. Until then, support your fellow artists and don’t get mad when someone’s talent is greater than yours. :) Congrats again EmmeWalls!
